He is accused of abuse of office in two cases/ GJKKO's appeal leaves

The appeal of GJKKO has decided to leave in force the security measure of arrest and imprisonment for the former mayor of Durrës Vangjush Dako.

Also, the black platoons have left the security measure in force for FF, F. E, M. S, FH, AB

According to media reports, Dako was not present at this Tuesday's session and was represented by his lawyers.

Vangjush Dako, the former mayor of Durrës surrendered on June 6, 2023, as he was accused of abuse of office in 2 cases.

The first case concerns the granting of a construction permit in 2011 for a building, in neighborhood no. 5, in the center of Durrës, which was damaged by the 2019 earthquake.

After the verifications, it is suspected that the building had 4 floors without permission and the legalization of the building was carried out in violation of the law. The second case has to do with a report for the tender of the promenade, which according to the High State Control, the damage was calculated at 18 million ALL./ CNA
