In the framework of May 5, the Day of the Martyrs of the Motherland, and the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of the Country, to commemorate and appreciate the sublime act of the police officers who fell in the line of duty, the ceremony for placing them in the cemetery took place of the Martyrs of the Motherland of the remains of 5 State Police officers, Zylfi Sulmataj, Qazim Duka, Lulëzim Sadikaj, Edmond Cuka and Selman Lena.

In the burial ceremony at the Cemetery of Martyrs of the Fatherland in Tirana, of the remains of former employees of the State Police, declared "Martyrs of the Fatherland", the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, the chairman of the National Security Committee of the Assembly participated , Nasip Naço, the General Director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, family members of the Martyrs of the Fatherland and representatives of foreign police missions.

The Director General of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, said, in his speech, that it is the duty of the State Police to always remember and exalt the figure of the Martyrs of the Motherland, because the blood shed and their sublime sacrifice cannot and will not to be forgotten.

"The act of placing the remains of Zylfi Sulmataj, Qazim Duka, Lulzim Sadikaj, Etmond Çuka and Selman Lena in the Cemetery of Martyrs of the Fatherland in Tirana, like Benedik Brahja in the city of Durrës, can somehow ease the great pain of the family members for their father , the son of the missing brother, but I'm sure it can't extinguish it. The void created is there, every morning and every evening, on every birthday and family holiday, in every difficulty and difficult decision, when your loved ones are not there", said Director Madhor Muhamet Rrumbullaku, addressing the families of former employees of the police.

The General Director of the State Police assured the families of the fallen that, at the State Police, they will always find an open door to handle any need and request.

"We are your big family and I assure you that the pain of the entire State Police organization for the colleagues who are no longer with whom we have shared so many challenges, in an effort to fight crime and establish order and security, returns every days in energy to accomplish our mission. The honor that the state pays today to Zylfi, Qazim, Lulzim, Etmondi and Selmani gives us all the opportunity to remember the dozens and dozens who fell in the uniform of the State Police. Their sacrifice deserves respect, but this is the moment to repeat the message that the State Police uniform is sacred", said Muhamet Rrumbullaku.

He added that "anyone who dares to violate the police uniform will receive the harshest legal response".

Representatives of the families of the Martyrs of the Motherland thanked the Ministry of the Interior and the State Police for the evaluation of the fallen.
