The 3 names that are rumored for the leadership of the State Police

On Thursday, September 5, Muhamet Rrumbullaku resigned from the position of General Director of the State Police.

Sokol Bizhga has been appointed at the head of the State Police, while several names have been rumored for taking this post.

Among the names mentioned are the current head of Elbasan District, Ilir Proda, the head of Gjirokastër District, Ardian Çipa and the current head of Durrës District, Skënder Hita.

The interior minister, Ervin Hoxha, was asked by journalists about these candidacies during an informal meeting.

Hoxha said that none of the names are either preferred or excluded.

"Anyone who meets the conditions will not have the influence of the minister, but the selection will be made by the Appointments Commission", declared the minister.

Thus, he left open the possibility of the candidacy of Proda, Chipa and Hita for General Director of the State Police./ CNA
