“Enough!”/DP denounces from Dajti: Concrete is the alternative of Erion Veliaj for 2021

The representative of Democratic Party, Akil Kraja, declared today from Dajti Montain that Tirana doesn?t have oxygen, making the mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj responsible for the polluted air. Kraja said that concrete is the alternative of Erion Veliaj for Tirana 2021, adding that for 5 years he has built an average of 540 towers worth 2.2 billion euros.

Kraja further said, that at the peak of the economic crisis, the loss of jobs by thousands people, the bankruptcy of many businesses, the annual balance for Erion Veliaj will be 26 percent more than the forecast at the beginning of the year. According to him, the citizens have run out of patience with his deceptions and the inhabitants of Tirana deserve much better.

?For the citizens, this translates into heavier traffic, more polluted air, less green spaces. Since taking over the Municipality of Tirana, 5 years ago, Erion Veliaj has built an average of 540 10-storey towers. If converted into money, according to official INSTAT data, it is 2.2 billion euros of concrete.

A huge amount, which reflects how deeply the interests of organized crime are connected with the municipality of Erion Veliaj and the government of Edi Rama. Under the leadership of the Rama-Veliaj duo, Tirana has turned into a big washing machine of dirty money, the consequences of which are directly suffering the citizens.

2.2 billion euros invested in concrete, have turned the traffic in the capital into a real torture, while the level of air pollution makes Tirana one of the worst cities in Europe to live. The BBC has previously reported that Albania is one of the countries with a record number of deaths from air pollution.

Nearly 23 percent of people die in Europe from this cause. Erion Veliaj is a politician who doesn?t keep his word. He promises only fraud, just like his boss in government. Erion Veliaj promised a moratorium on construction permits, but today Tirana is a concrete city that launders crime money and damages the lives and health of citizens.

As the towers increase, the air is polluted, the gardens disappear. In Erion Veliaj?s Tirana, no hour of water is added at the taps, roads remain dilapidated and vital services are not improved. Enough with Erjon Veliaj and concrete! The citizen of Tirana deserve much better! Tirana needs change! Albania needs change ?- said Kraja./CNA.al
