Ligjvënësit miratuan ndalimin e aplikacionit, i cili përdoret nga mbi 100 milionë amerikanë, ndonëse demokratët e kundërshtuan projektligjin.

Shtëpia e Bardhë u ka dhënë agjencive federale të SHBA-së 30 ditë kohë për të fshirë aplikacionin nga të gjitha pajisjet celulare.

Më shumë se dy të tretat e adoleshentëve amerikanë përdorin “TikTok”, i cili është në pronësi të ByteDance, një kompani kineze që e zhvendosi selinë e saj në Singapor në vitin 2020.
