OFFICIAL/ Chelsea announce striker, transfer opportunity emerges

Chelsea have officially confirmed the termination of their contract with striker Raheem Sterling by mutual agreement.

The 31-year-old leaves Stamford Bridge after three and a half seasons, ending a period that began in the summer of 2022 after transferring from Manchester City.

According to the club's announcement, the player is now free to join a new team as a free agent. Chelsea are reported to have saved a significant amount of money from the deal, avoiding the remaining payments on his £300,000-a-week contract.

Sterling has not played a single competitive game this season, having been left out of the first-team plans. During his time in London, he made a total of 81 appearances and scored 19 goals in all competitions.
