President Duka presents the "Vision to Victory 2026-2030" strategy:

The Football Federation organized the important event of the presentation of the strategy "Vision to Victory 2026-2030". A strategy with projects that are expected to bring qualitative changes to Albanian football in the next 4 years, which was made in collaboration with the best UEFA experts after a long research work.

At the event held at the "House of Football", the head of the Albanian football government took stock of the past "Football for the Nation" strategy, underlining that 95% of the objectives have been achieved or are in an advanced stage of implementation.

President Duka unveiled to the attendees and the public the strategy for the next four years, “Vision to Victory 2026-2030”, emphasizing that it represents a clear vision for the development of Albanian football at all levels. The strategy aims to increase participation and the quality of football, strengthen organizational structures and sustainable investments in infrastructure and the formation of new talents.

"This strategy is built to be measurable, implementable and directly linked to the reality of Albanian football. By 2030, we aim to reach a number of registered male footballers of 26 thousand from 24,078 today, despite the demographic challenges facing the country. This increase will come through the expansion of programs in schools and communities, strengthening the role of regional associations, direct support for clubs for young ages, creating more organized activities for children and youth, improving infrastructure, continuing the "Uniforma Ime" and "Topi YT" projects.

In terms of infrastructure, by 2030 we aim to add 30 to 40 new football fields, from the Federation's projects, mainly in the Tirana region, where the population density is even higher, which could affect the improvement of the population-field ratio, which unfortunately today is at unsatisfactory levels with 1 football field for 18,981 inhabitants at a time when the most developed European countries have a ratio of: 1 football field for 3,800 inhabitants.

But the real objective and the indispensable need at the national level should be the construction of 200 new football fields, which cannot be achieved by the Federation, but requires support from state budgets.

A very important strategic objective remains the increase in the number of spectators in stadiums in national championships of all levels. This will be achieved in cooperation with professional clubs and academies, assisting them with concrete projects and aiming for the same approach as in the national team A. Financial strengthening of football clubs and academies. They are currently suffering financially and development will be very slow without financial support and incentives, even temporary. We will continue direct financial support from the federation budgets, as we have done for 2026 with 3 million euros, and we will continue to cooperate with the Government to finalize the Law on Sponsorships in Sports. The progress of football and all Albanian sport will be very slow without such a law”, said the head of the Albanian Football Association.

The President of the Albanian Football Association also outlined the objectives for the boys' and girls' national teams as well as the objectives for the U-21 national team.

"The objectives for the national teams remain: Participation of the boys' A team in the final European and World tournaments and ranking in the 50th place of FIFA. The U-21 team, passing the group stage in Euro 2027, which will take place in our country and qualifying for the final stage of Euro 2029. Staying in League B of the women's national team and aiming to qualify for the 2029 European Championship in Germany", - said, among other things, President Duka.

In conclusion, the head of Albanian football emphasized that this strategy is not just a vision document, but a concrete action plan, which aims to take Albanian football to a more competitive level in the international arena.
