Carlos Queiroz është trajneri i ri i kombëtares së Katarit. Ka qenë vetë federata e këtij vendi që ka zyrtarizuar atë si drejtuesin e ekipit kombëtar.

Tekniku portugez do të marrë vendin e lënë bosh nga trajneri spanjoll Felix Sanchez, kontrata e të cilit nuk u rinovua pas eliminimit nga faza e grupeve në Botërorin e fundit që Katari luajti në shtëpi.

70-vjeçari Queiroz nis një aventurë të re, pas eksperiencës në krye të Iranit, skuadër me të cilën mori pjesë në tre Kupa Bote radhazi (në vitet 2014, 2018 dhe 2022).
