OFFICIAL/ Americans buy another club in Italy

The agreement for the sale of the Italian club Monza by Fininvest to the American fund Beckett Layne Ventures, headquartered in New York, has been formalized.

The operation foresees an initial transfer of 80% of the shares, while the remaining 20% ??will be transferred after 12 months. The total value of the agreement is around 30 million euros, including some bonuses.

This marks the end of the Berlusconi era, which bought the club in 2018 and led it to Serie A for the first time in its history. After Silvio Berlusconi's death, Monza fell to Serie B and the family decided to sell the shares. The decision was confirmed by Paolo Berlusconi in May this year.

Several well-known entrepreneurial families from the Brianza region also participate in the purchase. The change of ownership opens a new phase for the club's future.
