VIDEO/ Scary accident in Formula 1, the pilot loses control

A serious incident occurred during the first phase of official practice for the Emilia-Romagna Formula 1 Grand Prix, held this Saturday at the Imola circuit. Japanese Red Bull driver Yuki Tsunoda lost control of his car at Turn 5 and crashed into the barriers. The car flipped over, was lifted into the air by the force of the impact and spun, before falling onto the protective dome and settling back into its normal position.

Immediately after the accident, the practice session was interrupted to allow repairs to the damaged barriers. Tsunoda managed to get out of the car on his own and was taken to the track medical centre for a detailed check-up. He appeared to be in good condition and had no serious injuries.

Tsunoda's health condition is expected to be confirmed by race doctors in the coming hours, but for now, he is out of danger.
