Only rejections for Milan, the track for Rangnick also fails

Ralf Rangnick has decided to reject Milan's offer and continue as coach of the Austrian national team.

The Austrian Football Federation had asked the German coach to clarify his future before the start of the World Cup, while also offering him a contract renewal until 2028 with significant financial improvement.

Rangnick was Milan's preferred profile to take full control of the sporting sector as technical director. The German had requested full decision-making powers, including the selection of the coach, players, technical staff, scouts and academy structures.

These demands caused hesitation among club officials, prolonging negotiations for several weeks. In the end, Rangnick chose to continue the project with Austria, where he enjoys the full support of the federation.

After this rejection, Milan will have to look towards other alternatives for the position of technical director. One of the names that remains in the spotlight is Ramon Planes, who recently left Al Ittihad.
