Albania striker: We play for victory against Spain

The Albanian national team has started intensive preparations at SportCentrum Kaiserau for the last and decisive match in group B of the European Championship against Spain.

The attacker of the Albanian National Team, Arbër Hoxha, appeared this Friday at a press conference from the base camp of the Rossoneri in Kaiserau in Kamen. The match with Spain, how likely are we to win? - Considering that we played very well in the last match against Croatia, I believe we will enter the field to win, because only that result qualifies us.

You had a positive impact as soon as you came on against Croatia – the fans in the stadium are a big boost and every player had extra motivation. The intention was to help my teammates. We managed to score the second goal and had the opportunity to score the third as well.

Did you talk to your teammates after the game? - It's normal. I have two friends at Dinamo Zagreb, Baturina and Petkovic. I spoke to them after the game and they congratulated me on my good performance.

Do you think you will face the team that plays the most beautiful football in the world? - Spain is one of the best European teams, it played very well in the first two matches against Croatia and Italy. We must prepare as best we can for this important challenge.

You gave an assist in Dinamo Zagreb's match against Betis, remember? - I remember it very well. It was a very nice match against Betis and we qualified for the next round.

Who is Spain's best player? - There are many, one of the best is Rodri, I can also mention Williams, left winger.

Are you ready for a starting place against Spain? - Regarding the starting line-up, the coach decides, but however many minutes I get, I will do my best.

Did you think such a big growth in a short period?- In January, I transferred to Dinamo and I progressed day by day, I grew. In March, I came to the National Team and it was an incredible feeling for me. The European is the icing on the cake.

Transfer to a bigger team? - It is not that I have thought much about this part. I have only been at Dinamo Zagreb for 6 months and I am focused there. Now we have the play-off matches for the Champions League. 1 game sends us to the Champions League groups, we also have the Europa League secured. At the moment I am focused on the club where I am and on the national team. I want it to continue like this.

The result against Spain? - I just want the three points, the result doesn't matter. I prefer Croatia to qualify before Italy.
