The former Italian footballer, Roberto Baggio, has spent hours of horror, while his national team was playing against Spain, in the valid match for Euro 2024.

Five armed and masked people entered the house of the Italian legend to rob, where his family members were also present. During the time when the robbers were entering the house, the 57-year-old tried to fight with them, but lost the battle, due to the high number of masked people.

The perpetrators hit Baggio in the head with the back of the pistol, causing injuries. After that, the former attacker was held hostage and tied up for about an hour in another room, together with his family members.

During the robbery, the perpetrators took money, watches and various jewelry. After the perpetrators left his house, the former Ballon d'Or winner managed to free himself and broke through the door of the room where he was being held, to then notify the police.

The Carabinieri intervened immediately after the notification received from Baggio and the Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation, seizing all video footage from the former player's home.

So, Baggio was urgently transported to the hospital, to receive medical help, after the blow he received in the forehead with the back of the gun.
