Fired by Italy, Spalletti heads to Saudi Arabia

Luciano Spalletti has received a concrete offer from Saudi club Al Nassr, just a few days after leaving the Italian national team bench.

The move will follow the precedents of Roberto Mancini and Stefano Pioli, who also chose the Middle East after experiences in Italy.

Al Nassr is expected to terminate the contract of current coach Pioli, who earns around 12 million euros per season. The club intends to replace him with Spalletti, offering him a higher salary.

In the event of a deal, Spalletti would once again manage Brozovic, with whom he worked at Inter. Al Nassr also features Cristiano Ronaldo, Mané, Laporte and Talisca.

An eventual agreement would also set up an "Italian derby" in Saudi Arabia against Al Hilal coached by Simone Inzaghi.
