Injured in his debut, Monza terminates the contract with the former Inter captain

Last weekend, Monza secured the first victory in history in Serie A. The team climbed to the elite of Italian football, defeated Juventus 1-0, as the club's leaders today terminated the contract with Andrea Ranocchia.

The former Inter captain suffered a serious knee injury in the 4-0 defeat to Napoli (August 21) and has practically ended the season. Such a thing has forced Adriano Galliani to terminate the contract with Ranocchia, who was injured in the challenge in which he debuted with Monza.

"AC Monza announces that Andrea Ranocchia and the club have terminated the contract by consensus. AC Monza thanks the player for these months spent together and wishes him the best for the future", reads the official statement of the Italian club.

The defender was transferred in the summer as a free agent from Inter to Monza. This season has been unlucky for him, while the Italian is working to recover from a serious injury without the pressure to return to the pitch as soon as possible.
