The floods of the last few days in the city of Valencia have caused over 150 victims.

Tragically, the former football player of the Valencia club, Jose Castillejo, lost his life in these floods.

This news was made public by the Valencia club itself through social networks, where they wrote that the 28-year-old lost his life during the floods on Tuesday.

"Mourning the passing of Jose Castillejo, a victim of the natural disaster. He has been part of Valencia's academy and played for many teams in our local community," the Spanish club said in a statement.

Castillejo played for numerous teams in Spain, including second division club Eldense.

Apart from Valencia where he started his career and Eldense, the former midfielder played for Torre Levante, Paterna and many other clubs in Spain./CNA
