Albania's starter recovers from injury, starts training

Berat Gjimshiti has put behind his arms the injury that left him out of Albania's squad for the two matches in October, against the Czech Republic and against Georgia, valid for the League of Nations.

The Albanian defender has returned to Atalanta training and is ready for the next challenge in the championship.

According to what the Italian media reports, Gjimshiti is a candidate for a starting position for the challenge against Venice, scheduled to be played on Sunday, October 22.

However, in all likelihood, the red-and-black footballer will be on the bench, as coach Gasperini does not want to risk it. It is possible that he enters a few minutes from the end.

The 31-year-old footballer was injured on October 2, in the Champions League match against Shakhtar on a neutral field, when he scored the first goal for Atalanta.

Afterwards, he felt pain in his hip and was substituted on rest, while he was inactive for more than two weeks.

Gjimshiti has had a few stoppages recently, and that seems normal as he gets older, but he is still very important for Atalanta and the Albanian national team.

The lack of a defender was not felt so much in Albania for the last two matches.

The excellent form of Ismjal and Ajeti, but also Kumbulla, meant that Silvinjo did not have many problems for the rear department.

However, knowing that Gjimshiti is the captain of Albania, of course he is indispensable for the group and will be ready for the two meetings that the red and black team will play in November, against the Czech Republic and Ukraine.
