In the next edition in North Macedonia, there will be 5 Albanian teams that will compete at the highest level of this country. Struga, Shkëndija and Skopje will be joined by Voska Sport and Gostivari. Both of these teams have ensured the ascension to the elite of Macedonian football.

The edition that is ending has been quite successful for a large part of the Albanian teams competing at different levels of football in Macedonia. Struga secured the title of champion, while behind it are Skopje and Shkëndija.

The Albanian teams are the ones that are achieving success in the international arena, with Shkëndija and Skopje, which in recent editions have given positive performances, going several times to the play-offs of UEFA competitions.

Voska Sport was also dominant in the second league, ranking first, while immediately behind them with 2 points less is Gostivari, who will be in the elite next season. With the promotion of these two teams to the Macedonian Super League, almost half of the teams will be Albanian, which is an indication that their dominance in football is increasing.
