"Eagle" costs the Greek team again, Batha beats them again in FIFA

In 2018, Idriz Batha reached an agreement with AEL Larisa, signing a contract with the Greek team, however the deal was terminated unilaterally by the Greek team. Reason? A photo published by the former captain of Tirana on social networks with the symbol of the eagle was interpreted as a symbol that shows the great Albania.

Batha followed the rules, sued the AEL Larisa team and FIFA gave the right to the player and the club should pay him 181,000 euros, according to what the contract stipulated. The decision was also confirmed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne (CAS) on May 18, 2018.

However, despite the decision, AEL Larisa has not been correct with the payments and on December 17 of last year, the midfielder, who is part of UTA Arad in Romania, sued the Greek club again, claiming nearly 81,000 euros, due to that the amount provided for in the first decision had not passed according to the points that were provided for in the decision.

The case went again in favor of Batha, who on April 6 won again in FIFA, with the Greek club being obliged to pay off the remaining part of the obligations, as well as the fine for non-compliance with the first decision.

Sipas dokumentit zyrtar, klubi i AEL Larisa duhet t’i paguajë 80,138 euro plus 10% interes, nga të cilat 55,138 euro si detyrim i pashlyer plus 10% interes ndërsa 25.000 euro si gjobë kontraktuale.

Also, many fans would remain disappointed', but they would never have thought that that photo with the eagle would cost them a bag of money, with Batha never wearing the AEL Larisa jersey.
