Albania U-19 triumphed 3-2 against Montenegro, in the first friendly match played this afternoon in Tuz. The Reds led by Julian Ahmataj played a very good match, with chances and three goals scored by Ron Hasani, Dran Vranici and Xheto Joi Nuredini.

Coach Ahmataj started the match with this formation: Alain Taho (GK), Kleo Shpuza, Fabjan Përndeca, Denis Prendi, Antonis Dama, Matia Huqi, Ron Hasani, Dean Vranici, Flavio Sulejmani (C), Jordi Jaku, Xheto Joi Nuredini.

Albania appeared dangerous from the first minutes, controlling the ball well and attempting the opponent's net. The first goal for the Reds and Blacks would come only in the 31st minute thanks to Ron Hasan. The Albanian striker took advantage of the locals' mistake and scored the first goal for the Reds and Blacks. The Montenegrins equalized after 11 minutes of play and the first half ended with the score 1-1.

The second half starts very well for Ahmataj's Albania, which scores the second goal and takes the lead again thanks to Vranic. Fabjan Përndeca delivered a beautiful ball from the left, with Vranic in the area and doubled the tally thanks to a header. The Reds don't stop there, but try and create chances until they find the third goal with Xheto Joi Nuredini in the 60th minute. Captain Sulejmani assists for the goal scorer, who very finesse sends the ball into the net and triples the numbers. The Montenegrins narrowed the score to 2-3 in the 77th minute. Regardless of the goal, the victory belongs to the Reds and Blacks, with the first friendly match played in Tuz ending with a 2-3 result for Julian Ahmataj's Albania.

The Communication Department in the AFL informs that the defender of the U-19 National Team, Adi Kurti, will not be ready to contribute in these two matches due to an injury he suffered in Thursday's training. After the examinations, the medical staff decided to rest the player, so as not to endanger him.

Albania will play another friendly match against Montenegro on Sunday at "Reshit Rusi" in Shkodër. The meeting is scheduled to start at 12:00. This will be the last test for the red and blacks, who thus put an end to the friendly matches developed over several months, as part of the preparations for the first round of the European 2025 qualifiers for the U-19 age group. Albania is part of group 11 together with Israel, Denmark and Northern Ireland and has as its objective the transition to the "Elite Round" stage./ CNA
