Euro 2024 draw / Kosovo and Albania learn today the opponents of the qualifiers

Today, starting at 12:00, the National Teams of Kosovo and Albania will learn their opponents for the qualifiers for Euro 2024. The draw will take place in Frankfurt, Germany.

In the qualifying phase of this tournament, 53 teams will participate, while Germany, as the organizer of Euro 2024, automatically qualifies and therefore does not participate in the draw.

Meanwhile, as a result of UEFA and FIFA sanctions due to the occupation of a part of Ukraine, Russia has been excluded from this tournament as well, and will not be part of the Euro 2024 draw.

53 skuadrat që marrin pjesë në shortin e kualifikueseve së 9 tetorit janë ndarë nëpër gjashtë vazo në bazë të renditjes së përgjithshme të Ligës së Kombeve 2022/23, dhe do të ndahen në dhjetë grupe kualifikuese, shtatë nga të cilat me pesë skuadra (nga Grupi A deri në Grupin G) dhe tre grupe me nga gjashtë skuadra (nga Grupi H deri në Grupin J).

Ndeshjet e fazës kualifikuese do të nisin në muajin mars dhe do të përfundojnë në nëntor 2023. Në përfundim të kualifikueseve, dhjetë skuadrat e renditura të parat në grupe së bashku me 10 vendet e dyta kualifikohen automatikisht për në fazën finale. Tre skuadrat e tjera pjesëmarrëse do të dalin nga faza play-off që do të zhvillohet në mars 2024.

Kosovo is positioned in pot number 4, along with Georgia, Greece, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, the Faroe Islands and North Macedonia.

On the other hand, Albania takes place in pot number 3, where Ukraine, Iceland, Norway, Slovenia, Ireland, Montenegro, Romania, Sweden and Armenia are also included.

Based on the decision of the UEFA Executive Committee, Kosovo cannot be in the same group as Serbia or Bosnia and Herzegovina. The same rule applies to: Armenia/Azerbaijan, Belarus/Ukraine, Gibraltar/Spain.
