One of the biggest names that cycling has known in Great Britain, but not only, Sir Chris Hoy, has made a very touching confession.

The six-time Olympic cycling champion has revealed in an interview for "Sunday Times" that he has a maximum of four years left to live.

Sir Chris stated that he had been diagnosed with primary cancer in his prostate which had spread to other parts of the body, meaning it was stage four.

"I have been diagnosed with primary prostate cancer and the disease has progressed a lot. I can say that I have a maximum of 2-4 years left to live," he says.

The cycling legend and his wife Sara have two children, Chloe, 7, and Callum, 10. /CNA
