Ronaldo: Leaving the National Team? I thought about it!

Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to Portugal's national team.

However, the forward welcomed coach Roberto Martinez and reaffirmed his desire to continue playing for the national team.

"My role in the national team, in the last 10-15 years, has always been the same. If they want me, I will always be there. My motivation is intact, year after year, it's the same as the first time, " said the Portuguese in an interview given after receiving the invitation from the representative of his country.

Further asked if he ever thought about leaving the national team, Ronaldo affirmed that he had done something like that.

"Have I thought about leaving the national team? I won't lie. In our life we ??have to question everything. We thought, reflected, me and my family, but then we came to the conclusion that despite the difficulties, I could not leave," said Ronaldo.
