The former coach of Inter U19, Monza and the assistant of Luigi di Canio in Naples, Fulvio Pea is part of the staff of the Albanian Football Federation and holds the position of Technical Director. Pea has explained in a long interview for the "AFHF" all the innovations that have been made in the structure of the Technical Directorate of the AHF.

"I can tell you that I felt very good in Tirana and that I work with the AFL. I am proud to have become part of this journey, because I have been here for two months and I am very happy with what I have found here and the work we do every day.

My first intervention was in the national teams and working with the coaches from an organizational and technical point of view. I found it necessary to create a sixth department, called research support, which will support the fields of goalkeeper coaching, performance, match analysis and sports medicine. We needed a structure that supports and creates useful materials for our coaches", says Fulvio Pea in a statement for Fshf.org, appreciating this change of the technical structure and the positive approach from the staff currently working in the technical directorate.

"The first approach has been positive and so we hope to continue to improve this department. Previously, we had five departments and now there are six. From the department of scouting, children's, education, girls' football, national teams and research support.

The departments are coordinated by a person in charge and the staff has remained the same even after my arrival at the FFA. The people who coordinate the different departments had started several projects in the meantime and I have attached them by modifying or expanding some of the departments, as was the case of the scouting department", Fulvio Pea continues.

The Technical Director of the AFL also explains the expansion of the scouting department in order for representatives of the Federation to be as relevant and as close as possible to Albanian players living abroad.

"We are trying to expand the staff in different countries, we are looking for scouts in Sweden, Greece or Turkey where there are many Albanian immigrants. So we went from being the person in charge of the scouting department to being the person in charge of each area, which are the people who worked for the Federation and we gave them the opportunity to create a network of whistleblowers so that we can be present and close families and footballers who participate in national team selections even from afar. We have the opportunity to have professionals in different cities who can see the players up close", says Pea, adding two more words about his objectives in this post.

"The objectives are very clear, when I came I had a clear path, that is to create a formation of technical staff and the improvement of every Albanian player in the individual aspect in the country. Not only those who are active with the national teams, but from the whole country. This is the path we are following and these are the paths we are looking to develop, making modifications and expanding the staff, creating didactic materials and protocols that can be valuable for all departments", Fulvio Pea emphasized.

The role of the Technical Director envisages the coordination and support of the technical activity of all national teams. It is a role created to implement the long-term strategy and its continuity, as it is responsible for all activities related to the development of players, the coordination of technical personnel and together with the coach of the National Team A builds the objectives, the philosophy of the game, methodologies, strategies, etc.
