The AFL reacts to the death of striker Dwamena

The tragic event that happened between Egnatia and Partizan, where the footballer Rafael Dwamena lost his life after a collapse on the field.

The Albanian Football Federation, through a statement on the official website, expressed its condolences for the premature death of the captain of Egnatia.


OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION:

The Albanian Football Federation expresses its deep shock for the tragedy that happened today during the match of the 13th week of "Abissnet Superiore", Egnatia-Partizani.


Football player Rafael Dwamenaka lost consciousness during the match and after the first intervention of doctors on the playing field, he was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

Despite the immediate intervention of specialist doctors and all subsequent efforts to bring him back to life, the footballer unfortunately passed away.

The AFL expresses its deepest condolences to the Dwamena family and the Egnatia club for this great loss and event that has shocked the entire Albanian football community.

The Football Federation announces that all matches scheduled for this weekend in all football championships in Albania will be postponed to a later date.
