First round of qualifiers, Albania U-17 disappoints against Croatia

The U-17 national team played the second match in the first round of the 2026 European Championship qualifiers against Croatia today.

The match, held at the "Trate Nedeliš?e" stadium, ended with Croatia winning 3-0.

Coach Fatjon Tafaj started the match with this starting lineup: Klejton Uruci (GK), Kostantinos Varesi (C), Xhoel Mezani, Ettore Pierro Dennis, Petro Marku, Dion Vata, Mattias Allasufi, Armend Muslika, Frensi Mali, Sokol Uldedaj, Daniele Lulaj.

Croatia took the lead in the 10th minute through Luka Bartolovic. Matej Milicic doubled the lead in the 26th minute, while Juraj Frigan scored the third in the 35th.

The second half started with three changes for Albania. Frensi Mali, Daniele Lulaj and Armend Muslika left the game, while Simon Uldedaj, Ermal Ymeri and Elson Himallari were activated.

During the second half, the team tried to react, creating several scoring opportunities, but without being able to find the net. The match ended with the score 3-0 for Croatia.

The last match for the U-17 National Team in the first qualifying round will be against Kazakhstan on November 17 at 11:30.
