Tare is introduced: Milan, a childhood dream. I came with clear ideas

Igli Tare spoke for the first time as the new sporting director of Milan in an interview for the official channels of the red and black club. In his speech, he shared some of the personal experiences that connect him to the club, as well as the objectives and challenges that await him in this new role.

"Milan has a glorious history. I've followed it since I was a child, I remember the time of Wilkins and Hatley. My family, all my uncles were Milan fans, there has always been a strong connection and I haven't hidden it even when I became a player or manager," said Tare.

He recalled some of the personal moments that have linked him to the club, including his Serie A debut against Milan and the birth of his first child during a Milan-Bologna match. "It's a very emotional connection," he added.

Tare stressed that he feels the great responsibility that comes with this role and that he intends to contribute to Milan returning to the highest levels. “I will try to give everything so that this story becomes a reality in the future. It is a club with an important history, we must be good at communicating this project to everyone immediately,” he declared.

Regarding the choice of the new coach, Tare said: "We have to start in the right way, there are a lot of expectations: it has been a very long season with many disappointments. I came with clear ideas, with a lot of enthusiasm and I want to convey this to the entire Milan environment."

Speaking about the competitive nature of the club, he said: "We have to be clear about one thing: Milan is a club that demands results immediately, it is a club where you have to win. I have understood this and I am ready to face it. The players who come to play for Milan must immediately understand that this shirt has an important weight, this stadium has an important weight. If we are good at transmitting this to our players, I think we will have taken a first step towards victory."

Regarding the way of working and the approach to this new obligation, Tare declared: "I want to join this club with great humility, but above all with the opportunity to give my support to ensure that this club returns to the top of Italian and world football. Football has evolved a lot in recent years, every five years things change a lot: you have to be well in touch with this evolution. However, we must make one thing very clear: everything is related to the final result. I want to see a team that sweats for the jersey, that is hungry and wants to win. I want to see that 'San Siro' that explodes with the joy of the fans. I will do everything, I will give everything of myself to make this happen.

"I feel very excited and very fulfilled. I have realized a long-standing dream. It means a lot to me, it means a lot," declared Igli Tare.
