OFFICIAL/ Ten Hag returns to the bench, introduces himself to the players

Bayer Leverkusen have appointed Erik ten Hag as their new coach, following the departure of Xabi Alonso. The Dutchman returns to the bench just months after leaving Manchester United.

The parties have reached an agreement until 2027. In his first statement, Ten Hag expressed enthusiasm for the new challenge, describing Leverkusen as an elite club in Germany and Europe. He praised the conditions the club offers and the ambitions of the current project.

For Ten Hag this will be his first experience in the Bundesliga, after previous adventures with Ajax and Manchester United.
