Dinamo rises, Skenderbeu falls. How the teams have changed

The Albanian championship has successfully concluded the first two phases, bringing rivalry and surprises in the rankings. Comparing the teams' performance between the current season and last season highlights the changes that have occurred in the standings.

In the last season, after the 18th week, Egnatia led with 37 points, a progress that paved the way to the championship title. In the current season, Dinamo leads the championship with 31 points. The capital team in the last season held the fifth place with only 22 points. Egnatia, from first place a year ago, is now ranked fourth, but is only one point away from the top spot.

Vllaznia, on the other hand, has shown significant improvement. In the 2023/2024 season, the red and blue team collected 26 points, while this season they are in second place with 31 points, the same as the leading Dinamo.

A year ago, Partizan was in second place with 32 points. The Reds are now in third place with 30 points, showing a slight drop, but are just one point away from first place.

Tirana has shown a noticeable decline. In the last season, the white and blue were in the same quota of points with Vllaznina 26, while currently they are in seventh place with only 18 points.

At the bottom of the ranking, Skënderbeu and Laçi are the two teams that have suffered the most declines. Korçars, who last season were in sixth place with 22 points, now close the table with only 15 points. Laçi also has four points less compared to a year ago.

This comparison clearly shows that the current season is more unpredictable. With only one point separating the top four teams, any result in the next few games could completely change the dynamics of the championship.
