"Moldova is gone, we have 6 finals ahead", Sylvinho and Ramadani: Beware of the Faroe Islands, synthetic grass will be a problem

2023-06-19 19:37:52, Sport CNA

After the victory against Moldova on Saturday, the Albanian national team will return to the field again tomorrow for the third match of group E against the Faroe Islands, valid for the qualifiers of the European Championship "Germany 2024".

On the eve of this match, this afternoon, in a media conference, the coach of the National Team, Silvinjo, and the midfielder Ylber Ramadani, spoke about this important challenge for the Red and Blacks.

Coach Silvinjo praised the opponent, while also talking about the situation in the red and black camp, where he emphasized that the Albanian players who will go down to the field must give their best on the field to reach the objective. Despite the victory in Tirana against Moldova, coach Silvinjo said that there is no euphoria in the team, while he also spoke about the formation against the Faroe Islands.

The situation in the Red and Black camp, the formation and how much the field with synthetic grass will affect tomorrow's match - The synthetic grass field may have its own difficulties, but it is the same for both teams and from what we have seen it is in good condition. We will have a training session today to prepare for the game tomorrow, which I see as a difficult game. We have been saying for several days that there are no easy matches and we are preparing as best we can. Regarding the formation, we have one last session today and we will see the condition of the players and then we will decide. We have until tomorrow morning to fix the starting 11. As for the situation, there is no euphoria. We have emphasized and reiterated that we have 6 finals ahead. I expect the players to run at 100km/h for us to reach the target, as that is the only way.

How many chances do we have to get a positive result and how much have we studied the opponent -  The match with the Faroe Islands is something completely different from the one with Moldova. It is a very difficult match. I think that euphoria has no place in the team because the match with Moldova is over for us. We got the 3 points, a very difficult match, but we have already closed that chapter. We have six difficult games ahead of us, 6 finals. Tomorrow against the Faroe Islands we have a strong match. We play against a rival who can adapt all the time on the field with different schemes. It is a very physical game, the Faroe Islands players are very dangerous especially in the air and in set pieces.

How will Albania play against the Faroe Islands?  - I emphasize once again that the match with Moldova is another story and for us it is over. We are only focused on the match with the Faroe Islands. It is a completely different rival, on the field, in the game. Against Moldova, it really took us 52 minutes to find the goal, but matches are played for 90 minutes and the important thing is the victory. We need some patience and seriousness and we expect it to be a very difficult match this time.

Will you impose on the opponent like in Tirana or will you show more caution in the transfer?  - In my opinion, there is no relationship of care or transfers. It's a completely different match than the first one. We have to look forward, we have a game against the Faroe Islands that we are preparing very well and we are ready to go out on the pitch tomorrow, fight and get the most out of a team that plays hard in terms of physicality and dynamics. We have to be focused because we have a strong rival.

Midfielder Ylber Ramadani was next to coach Silvinjo and emphasized to the media that there is no room for euphoria in Albania before the duel against the Faroe Islands, as they will try to make it difficult for them and get points. Ramadani said that they will enter the field and give their best to get the three points, as this is the objective of the Red and Black National Team.

Will we suffer physically in this match?  – "We are all professionals and we have come to play these two matches giving 100 percent on the field. I believe that we will go there to do our best and get a positive result in this match".

Success with goals or are you satisfied with a minimal victory?  - "Normally we shouldn't go into euphoria. We must enter the match with a very good approach, we must enter there to get a positive result, we must enter and do our best to go to Albania with victory".

What has the victory with Moldova changed in the team?  - "Normally every match we have self-confidence and we have to do our best. We have a lot of positive energy within the group, we are very satisfied as the coach has injected a lot of positive energy into the team.

The match with the Faroe Islands?  - "We have to adapt from the first moment on the field, until the last moment. It will be a very difficult match, very strong physically. There are no more easy matches and we are prepared to face a very strong opponent".

First time facing the Faroe Islands, how well do you know the opposition?  - "I know him very well, as I lived in Denmark for four years. I have a friend who plays there, they are not an easy team. They will try to make our lives difficult. I know the Faroe Islands better than you think."
