Mancini: With these two players we become more frightening

Italy secured an important victory against the Netherlands, in the valuable meeting for the 3/4 Nations League. The blue national team triumphed with difficulty with the result 3-2.

The number one of the 4-time world champions, Roberto Mancini, appeared satisfied with his team and the way they performed the match.

"It was a positive performance. In the first half we played very well, while in the second we lost our rhythm a bit. But, I must emphasize that the effort was very great from everyone.

The boys gave their best and did not stop for a moment. It was a good test, the signals were very good, as we showed in some moments that we know how to solve the game in the right way.

With Federico Chiesa and Nicolo Zanilo on the wings, we become a more physical team, while in the first division we were less dangerous in attack.

We also controlled the midfield, while the defense fought until the end. It was a very important victory", concluded Mancini.

After securing the third place in the Nations League, the next objective for Italy will be the qualification in "Euro 2024".

The blue ones will return to play in September two important matches for the fate of qualification: against North Macedonia and Ukraine.
