Milan and Inter with new facility, stadium images emerge

Milan and Inter have taken concrete steps to reconstruct the San Siro stadium.

The new Milan stadium project has been valued at 1.2 billion euros. According to the document submitted by Inter and Milan to the city council, the new facility will have a capacity of around 71,500 seats and will be operational 365 days a year. The plan details how the area will be transformed after the clubs purchase the land, while yesterday the auction for the sale of the land by the City of Milan was officially published.

The new stadium alone will cost around 700 million euros and, according to the project, is expected to be operational by 2031. Meanwhile, the rest of the additional construction around the stadium is expected to be fully completed between 2033 and 2035, when the sports complex will be fully operational.

The project includes the removal of the current roof and the elimination of the third ring stands and most of the first and second ring stands.
