"I'm ashamed of myself", Guardiola starts the conference differently: I apologize to Gerrard for the idiotic comments I made

Pep Guardiola has started the press conference on the eve of the confrontation with Arsenal with a public apology. The coach of Manchester City was not spared with his statements a few days ago regarding the possible punishment that his club may suffer due to the rules of "financial fair play". But Guardiola has had enough time to reflect with himself and has made a decision to make a public apology. The Spanish coach has admitted to reporters that he feels ashamed for the comments he made and that he apologizes to Gerrard, who did not deserve those words that came out of his mouth.

"I apologize to Steven Gerrard for the unnecessary and idiotic comments I made about him last time. I'm ashamed, because you don't deserve it. He knows how much I adore him and his career. I'm ashamed because you don't deserve it. I didn't represent my club well. I apologized to Gerrard privately, but as the comment was public, my apology should be public as well.
