Jakub Jankto, the former player of Sampdoria in Serie A and currently part of Sparta Prague in the Czech Republic openly declared his sexual tastes by saying that he is gay. This statement of the Czech midfielder received numerous reactions, while one of them was Jankto's ex-fiancée, Marketa Ottomanska. The latter, with whom the player also has a child, emphasized that she is proud of Jankto, adding that he finally found the courage to speak openly.
"He is one of the first footballers to openly declare his sexuality, usually they do this at the end of their career. We broke up in 2021, but I'm very proud of him. He was afraid that people would not accept his sexuality, he could suffer from threats and insults.
Now thankfully he is now freed and I am sure he will now be calm and happy. Those who love him will surely understand that he is the same person as before", said Ottomanska, who also has a son with Jankto.
