Mbappe as a "curse", five coaches left

In the last six years, Kylian Mbappe's career at club level has been accompanied by frequent changes on the bench of the teams where he has played.

From 2020 to the present, the French striker has worked with several different coaches, both at PSG and Real Madrid, experiencing a continuous cycle of changes in technical direction.

The most recent case is related to the departure of Xabi Alonso from the Real Madrid bench. The Spanish coach lasted only seven months in charge of the team, while the Spanish Super Cup defeat to Barcelona was considered his last match in charge of “Los Blancos”.

After this result, the club decided to terminate cooperation with the coach, paving the way for a new change in the management staff.

For his part, Mbappe reacted via social media with a farewell message, in which he praised the collaboration with Alonso. However, for the French striker, changes on the bench are nothing new.

In the last six years, he has worked with six different coaches, a figure that indicates a high frequency of changes in technical direction.

Specifically, since 2020, Mbappe has had Thomas Tuxhel, Mauricio Pocchettino, Galtier, Luis Enrique, Carlo Ancelotti and most recently Xabi Alonso as coaches.

Of these names, only Luis Enrique managed to stay in charge without leaving during the period of collaboration with the French striker. The other five coaches were fired or left the job for various reasons.

This situation translates into five coach changes within six years, an indication of the instability in the technical staffs of the teams where Mbappe has been a part.

After Alonso's departure, Real Madrid entrusted the management of the team to Alvaro Arbeloa, who was in charge of the youth team.
