Goalkeeper Audero hit, Inter fans given severe punishment

Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi has banned transfers for Inter fans until March 23, 2026, after goalkeeper Emil Audero was hit with a firecracker.

This decision also prohibits the sale of tickets to residents of Lombardy, with the exception of the Milan-Inter derby on March 8.

The suspected perpetrator, a 40-year-old man from San Marino, is in critical condition in hospital after sustaining injuries to his hand during the explosion.

He is expected to undergo several operations, while police are analyzing the footage from the "Zini" stadium. The incident occurred in the 49th minute of the Cremonese-Inter match, causing a temporary interruption of the game.

The intervention of Lautaro Martinez and coach Chivu was necessary to calm the situation in the stands.

Audero managed to continue playing, but the measures are aimed at preventing similar episodes in the future.
