Behind the scenes/ Icardi promised 10 goals, how the transfer to Juventus failed

Juventus failed to strengthen their attacking department with a centre-forward during the transfer window. Attempts for Kolo Muani, Joshua Zirkzee, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Mauro Icardi did not materialize.

In each case, there were different obstacles, related to the current clubs or the physical condition of the players. For Mauro Icardi, a behind-the-scenes story was revealed that shows his desire to return to Serie A.

The striker had sent a message to Juventus about his willingness to contribute immediately.

The Argentine had sent a direct message to the black and white club, stating that he was ready to score ten goals in six months and then be confirmed for the following season.

However, Galatasaray demanded 15 million euros for his card. This demand was considered high by Juventus. As a result, the transfer did not go through and Icardi remained in Turkey.
