Real Madrid continued their winning streak in La Liga, defeating Rayo Vallecano 2-1 in a match that was decided in the last seconds.

However, Rayo responded early in the second half by equalising through De Fruto. The game remained deadlocked until extra time, when in the 100th minute, Kylian Mbappe converted from the penalty spot, securing the Madrid side's sixth consecutive victory.

With this success, Real Madrid climbs to 54 points, remaining only one point behind leading Barcelona.

Rayo Vallecano, after this loss, remains in 17th place with 22 points, very close to the danger zone.
