AFF, seminar with observers of the category "Superior Abyssnet" on the changes to the regulation of the game

The Arbitration Sector in the Albanian Football Federation has held a seminar with the observers of the "Abissnet Superiore" championship. This seminar was organized on the eve of the start of the season, and as with the seminar with the referees and captains and coaches of Abissnet Superiore that took place in the last few days, the aim is to increase the performance of the match officials.

First, their performance during the 2021-2022 season was analyzed and the problems encountered or things that need to be improved.

The focus of this seminar was, of course, the explanation of the changes in the rules of the game. Observers were introduced to some clarifications of rule 11 regarding "deliberate play or deviation" as well as the refreshing of the criteria for the evaluation of referees based on the decisions made by the VAR system.

A significant part of the seminar was devoted to game situations where the criteria for punishing violations of handball touches, irregular interventions, incidents in the penalty area, protests of players and officials, etc. were discussed.

All the training work that is being done before the start of the season aims to ensure that all players, referees, players, coaches and observers have the same assessment of the situations that occur during a match.

At the same time, the observers have been asked to take the utmost seriousness in completing the evaluation reports for the match officials, ensuring the uniform implementation and interpretation of the Game Rules.

In the following days, the Arbitrators' Sector in the AFL will also hold seminars with observers from other categories to update them with the rules of the game and to analyze their performance.
