AFF signs cooperation agreement with the Commissioner for Protection from

The Albanian Football Federation and the Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination signed a cooperation agreement today with the aim of ensuring an inclusive football, where human rights are respected and serves as an opportunity to increase education in society.

This agreement was signed at the "House of Football", where the Secretary General of the Football Federation, Ilir Shulku, and the Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination, Robert Gajda, were present.

In his speech on the occasion, the Secretary General of the Albanian Football Association, Ilir Shulku, underlined the importance of this signing to create a safe and inclusive environment in football.

"Today we signed an agreement between the Albanian Football Federation and the Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination, which aims to achieve joint and coordinated action to respect, strengthen and advance the protection of fundamental human rights, in relation to sports issues and not only, increasing cooperation on joint initiatives" - said the Secretary General of the AFF.

"This agreement aims to create a coordinated approach, based on education, legal measures, community involvement and international partnerships, to guarantee a safe and inclusive environment for all participants on the football field," he continued.

"We want to create an environment free of discrimination and hate speech in Albanian football, by raising awareness, educating and punishing any form of behavior that conflicts with the values ??of equality, respect and human rights," stressed Shulku.

"We will cooperate with the Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination and participate in drafting the necessary legal changes for areas of common interest" - concluded Ilir Shulku.

Meanwhile, Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination Robert Gajda stressed the importance of the messages that can be given through football to stop incitement to hatred.

"I am very happy that we are here today at the Albanian Football Federation to make a cooperation agreement, so that we have sports that are there to give the best messages, not to incite hatred, but to always have the most beautiful thing from the game of football."

"I thank the Albanian Football Federation for its availability and we guarantee continued cooperation with the Federation, so that all citizens can enjoy sports and stay away from hatred," said Commissioner Gajda.
