The second stage in Tirana, here is the winner of the Giro d'Italia

The second stage of the 2025 Giro d'Italia, which took place in Tirana, ended with the victory of Briton Joshua Tarling in the individual time trial. The INEOS Grenadiers cyclist covered the 13.7-kilometer distance in 16 minutes and 7 seconds, recording the best performance of the day.

Tarling managed to beat Slovenian cyclist Primoz Roglic, who is one of the favorites in this edition of the Italian Tour, by a margin of one second. Australian Jay Vine came in third place, followed by Italian Edoardo Affini and Czech Mathias Vacek.

The winner of the first stage, Dane Mads Pedersen, finished seventh, 12 seconds behind the stage winner. Pedersen failed to repeat his success on the first day, but remains among the favorites.

Despite finishing second in this stage, Roglic manages to take the lead in the overall standings thanks to his consistent performance in the first two stages. Behind him are Pedersen and Vacek, who maintain their podium positions in the cumulative standings.

The third stage of the "Giro d'Italia" will take place on Sunday in the city of Vlora, and will also be the last to be held on Albanian territory. After it, the race will continue in Italy.
