Sensational/Italian football is "shocked"! The famous club is relegated to Serie C, Sampdoria celebrates

A recent decision has "shocked" Serie B, completely changing the standings and the playout scenario.

Brescia has been penalized with a 4-point deduction for irregularities in the payment of February salaries and contributions, which automatically relegates them to Serie C.

As a result, the play-off match between Salernitana and Frosinone has been cancelled. This situation benefits Sampdoria, who are expected to face Salernitana for their place in Serie B.

Brescia has the right to appeal and a hearing at the TFN is expected in the coming days. Depending on the first decision and the strength of the arguments, it could be decided to play the play-off without waiting for the other instances.

If there are grounds for appeal, then the end of the season for the bottom zone of the table will be postponed. FIGC and Lega B will make the final decision according to the legal process.
