Albania's U-21 national team starts training this Monday for the two friendly matches against Moldova.

Speaking to the media about these challenges, coach Alban Bushi stated that the friendlies help the staff a lot to see the state of the team, but also to test the new names that have joined the U-21.

What do we expect from the friendlies with Moldova?

"The friendly tests are very useful for the staff to see the condition of the players and the group. It's an almost 80-90% new group and it's not like we know them well. Moldova is a team with which we can do a different scheme to see what players we have in the team."

New names, what do you expect from them?

"I think it's an interesting group, there are quality players. It's not that it's one of the best bands that Albania has ever had, but we have to see them. We have young players, who do not play at very high levels, but they are in famous teams and I believe they will do well. Some players who join Albania for the first time, as Albanians from North Macedonia, but also from Kosovo, I am happy that they chose Albania and I believe we will do well."

Besar Gudjufi is also on the list of Macedonia, what is happening?

"I have been talking to him and his parents for a long time. Besari has chosen Albania and will be at the hotel in a few hours. He's a player we need, he's very strong and fast and I'm glad he chose us."

How is this generation from that generation that ended the stage with U-21?

"The generation that ended the stage has been one of the best for as long as I have been in charge of the U-21 team, it is not for nothing that there are many players in the first team of Albania. Birthday 2004-2005 I don't think they are a golden generation, but I believe they will improve and that we will make a very strong and very good team. We are very strong from the midfield and above, we have a few problems in defense, we are also good in goal, but I believe that we will do well in defense as well, scouting more. We, as Albanians, and the whole world, orient the children in the midfield and above, following the examples of Ronaldo and Messi, I believe that we will have to work on defense."

Rejections from any player and does the fact that EURO 2027 of this age group can be held in Albania affect new names?

"I think that EURO 2027 can influence, it is the most beautiful thing for a player of this age group to play in a European. This is positive, if we like a player we always try to approach him. The level of U-21 has increased a lot. I have many years here and it is about a very high level and we have to make a very strong team, but we have to work very hard to make a really strong team."
