"Bombshell" from Spain/ Vinicius risks 2-year suspension, FIFA launches investigation

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has been in the spotlight for reasons unrelated to his performances on the pitch.

According to what is reported by the prestigious Spanish newspaper "Marca", FIFA has launched an investigation into the Brazilian due to suspicions of a possible conflict of interest.

The player is accused of being directly involved as an owner of several professional football clubs, which constitutes a violation of FIFA rules that prohibit active players from having financial or ownership ties with other clubs, to avoid any possible influence on sports competitions.

If the allegations are proven, Vinicius risks a penalty of up to two years of suspension from all football activity.
