Forgetting the loss to Andorra, Albania U-16 wins 3-0

Days after the minimal defeat against Andorra, Albania U-16 triumphed with a score of 3-0 against San Marino in the second match of the “UEFA Development” tournament for this age group. A deserved victory for the Rossoneri led by coach Andrea Tedesco, who in addition to the victory also made a very good performance in the match held at the “House of Football”.

Coach Tedesco fielded this starting 11: Bjorni Betoja (GK), Alvin Zekaj (c), Elton Dodaj, Frensi Mali, Emiljano Malko, Eris Kurtulaj, Christian Lila, Dion Vata, Kledio Ruci, Matias Zogu, Egzon Kajbe.

The Albanian team appeared dominant from the first minutes of the match. The Reds took the lead in the 14th minute thanks to a goal scored by captain Zekaj, who correctly executed a free kick, sending the ball into the opposing net. The red and black team did not stop, but continued to exert pressure in the San Marino area. In the 30th minute, Egzon Kajbe doubled the score after a mistake by the opposing defense, making the score 2-0. A few minutes before the end of the first 45 minutes, captain Zekaj scored the third goal for Albania. The first half ended with the score 3-0.

This score did not change in the second half of the match, despite the teams' efforts. The match ended with a score of 3-0 for Albania.

In the morning match played at the “House of Football”, Kosovo defeated Andorra with a score of 2-1. The third matches of this tournament will be played on April 25 at the “House of Football”. Albania will face Kosovo in the final match at 15:00, while the match at 11:30 will be between San Marino and Andorra.
