Bielsa returns to the bench, signs with the well-known national team

Marcelo Bielsa returns to the bench. Media The Argentinian coach has officially signed the agreement with the Uruguayan Federation, to take over the leadership of the representative team.

Uruguay was led by interim coach Marcelo Broli, who replaced Diego Alonso, who was sacked after failing to get past the group stage at the World Cup in Qatar.

There were many candidates for Uruguay's bench, however, the leaders of the federation have chosen "El Loco", who in the past has done well in representatives such as Argentina and Chile.

Bielsa has been unemployed since being sacked by Leeds United on February 27 last year. as it seems that the Uruguayan project has enticed him to throw his signature on the contract. The parties had been in negotiations for weeks, but the official announcement only came now, with Bielsa ready for another adventure.
