Bayern Munich returns to victory in the Champions League, triumph with an upset

Bayern Munich overturned the result and won 3-1 against Sporting Lisbon at the Allianz Arena, extending their unbeaten home run in this stage of the Champions League to 35 matches.

The Bavarians responded to their defeat to Arsenal and created plenty of chances early in the game. Harry Kane was the most threatening player, hitting the post and forcing Rui Silva into several saves. Sporting tried to push forward but were limited by Bayern's high pressure.

The hosts took the lead at the start of the second half, after a move on the right wing and Kimmich's deflection into his own goal.

Bayern gradually came back into the game and equalized through Serge Gnabry, before Lennart Karl scored the second goal. In the end, Jonathan Tah sealed the 3-1 victory.

With this victory, Bayern climbs to second place with 15 points, the same as leading Arsenal.
