Albanian doctor Marsela Ceno in 2010 finished her studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Tirana. She says: "At first I decided to try it in Albania, to run for specialization. It didn't work, so I decided to go to Germany."

Në Shqipëri ka pak spitale që të japin mundësinë e specializimit, ndërsa në Gjermani e kanë të gjitha. Edhe ata mjekë nga brezi ynë që bënë specializimin në Shqipëri po vijnë në Gjermani. Rruga e suksesit nuk ishte e shtruar me trëndafila. Në fillim haste paragjykimet e kolegëve gjermanë, por për pak kohë. Një kolege më tha se, ‘ju vini nga xhungla’.

Një koleg thoshte se kur fluturonte mbi Shqipëri nuk kishte drita, gruaja e tij më pyeste, ‘a keni lavatriçe?”, thotë 33-vjeçarja. Pagesa e një kirurgu është tek 700 mijë lekë të vjetra, ndërsa në Gjermani që në vitin e parë të specializimit personi merr pagesë prej 3,800 eurosh.

“Si mjek i specializuar paga pëson vazhdimisht rritje. Një mjeku si unë i shkon deri në 7,000 euro rroga. Nuk do bëja asgjë ndryshe.
