Rein Zeneli is a 7-year-old boy, who at the age of 5 was diagnosed with the serious disease, idiopathic scoliosis (deformation of the spinal cord).

Rein must undergo approximately 12 spinal surgeries by the time he reaches adolescence.

Specifically, he must undergo an operation every 10 months until the age of 16-18. He has had 3 surgeries so far.

The operations must be performed in Turkey, as this is the closest hospital that can provide the necessary procedure, and they cost approximately €7,000 (CAD 10,225) per operation.
