The Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu, has visited children with profound hearing loss, who have undergone cochlear implant intervention at the French Hospital at QSUT. Manastirliu said that this is an intervention offered free of charge by the state.

“Implanti Koklear është një intervent, i cili tashmë realizohet nga ekspertët tanë në shërbimin tonë shëndetësor publik në Qendrën Spitalore Universitare “Nënë Tereza”. Është një procedurë e cila është e kushtueshme por ofrohet falas për çdo fëmijë që ka humbje të thellë dëgjimi. Ne sot kemi 29 fëmijë që janë mbështetur nëpërmjet vendosjes së implantit koklear. Janë 29 fëmijë, 4 prej të cilëve janë pikërisht sot këtu në këtë spital që kanë kryer interventin dhe janë duke kryer interventin të cilëve do t’u rekuperohet dëgjimi”, deklaroi ajo.
